Copying Win98 CAB Files to your Hard Drive
md=make directory
cd=change directory
(you may or may not see the > it really doesn’t matter)
When you’re all done with the fresh format(/s), you should be sitting
at the c prompt
C:\
Put in Win98 cd in the cd-rom
Type this;
Md win98 (enter)
That should put you here still;
C:\
Type
Cd win98 (enter)
Now you should see this;
C:\win98
Type;
D: (enter)
You should see;
D:\ (If D is your CD-ROM drive)
Type;
Cd win98 (enter)
You should see;
D:\Win98
This is the cool part;
Type this exactly & watch the spaces & spelling
Copy *.* C:\Win98 (enter) there is a space between copy and * and there is a space between the * and C
When it’s all done copying files, take out the cd, and type;
C: (enter)
That puts you at;
C:\win98
Now type;
Setup (enter) and follow the onscreen instructions
